šŸ† Leaderboard Rewards

Learn how Forkast's weekly leaderboard rewards work, including qualification rules, volume and gains formulas, and how to claim your rewards.

Forkast features weekly leaderboard rewards to recognize and reward the platform's most active and successful traders. These rewards foster competition and engagement, encouraging users to participate actively in prediction markets.

šŸ† Leaderboard Qualification

To qualify for the leaderboard and be eligible for rewards, users must meet a minimum total investment requirement of more than $5 during the competition period. Total investment is calculated as the sum of all buy-side orders placed by a user within the week. Only completed buy trades contribute to this total - sell orders are not included. This ensures that participants are actively engaging in trading rather than relying on volume from both buying and selling.

The minimum investment threshold promotes fair competition and encourages meaningful participation. If a user’s total investment does not exceed $5, they will not qualify for the leaderboard, regardless of their trading frequency or sell-side activity. Additionally, if leverage is used, only the actual invested amount from buy orders (excluding leveraged amounts) is considered.

šŸ“– Explanations

šŸ“Š Weekly Volume

Volume represents the total amount of buy and sell transactions by a user from the beginning to the end of a given week.

  • At the start of the week, the volume is 0 since no trades have been executed yet.
  • Volume increases when the user starts trading (i.e., when orders are matched).
  • Primary sorting is based on volume. In case of a tie, gains are used as the tiebreaker.

šŸ“ˆ Weekly Gains

Gains are a financial measure that shows how much profit or benefit you get back compared to the amount you put in. Gains are calculated from the beginning to the end of the week, and include both realized and unrealized profit:

  • Realized Profit — The profit after selling or redeeming tokens. It can be positive or negative, depending on the transaction. It represents the total amount the user receives after deducting the amount paid to buy the tokens.
  • Unrealized Profit — The gain from holding a position, calculated as the current position value minus the total amount paid to buy the tokens.

At the beginning of the week, realized profit = 0 (no sell/redeem transactions have occurred yet), while unrealized profit can already be positive if a held position has increased in value. Because unrealized profit can exist without any trade being executed, Gains can be positive even when Volume is 0.

Primary sorting is based on gains. In case of a tie, PnL is used as the tiebreaker.
